Description

The AW86 series of architectural curtain walls is specifically designed for constructing high-rise building exteriors. The system utilizes pre-fabricated, "unitized" frames that are glazed in a factory setting and then installed on-site using cranes, eliminating the need for scaffolding.

There are two options available within the AW86 series: the S variant, which features a structurally bonded glazing system, and the B variant, which uses an external glazing bead to mechanically secure the glass.

Both variants also include two types of operable outward-opening windows: top-hung and parallel opening.

When installing the AW86 system on-site, workers are able to work from inside the building in complete safety. This installation method significantly reduces the time required for installation and ensures a high standard of finished components.

The AW86 series also offers a "split wall" option, where the main grid structure (consisting of "H" frames) can be quickly attached to the building using specialized components.

Design features

  • The retention brushes are in high-density propylene with central water stripping.
  • Die-cast metal roller with reinforced polyamide wheels and ball bearings.
  • Maximum load: 660 lbs./sash (up to 880 lbs./sash with additional trolley).
